About Us:

Dog Friendly of Ojai is located just outside of Ojai, a beautiful small town that is surrounded by the majestic Topa Topa mountains, about 1 hour north of Los Angeles and 45 minutes southeast of Santa Barbara, California.

Dog Friendly of Ojai is homestyle doggy daycare and boarding, where dogs get to run, play and sleep together in a kennel-free environment. There is plenty of open space for the dogs to stretch out if they feel like it, and when they want to withdraw and rest there are beds, pillows and blankets. In the summer, they come in and cool off in an air-conditioned room. At night, all stay-overs come in to the house and get tucked in for the night.

The dogs are supervised when they're at Dog Friendly of Ojai; someone is always watching the dogs to make sure that they are safe and happy.

Dog Friendly of Ojai provides a safe, fun and stimulating environment for dogs where they are treated with kindness and loving care. We consider every dog's particular need and spend time with all of them individually to make sure that they are happy and content.

We are also a place where dog owners can learn more about dogs through classes and workshops, practice different types of training and develop a healthy relationship with their dogs.

We invite all prospective guests to come and visit us. This gives us a chance to show you around, get to know your dog a little bit and your dog gets an opportunity to meet us and our visiting dogs. Because we follow a schedule for the dogs every day, you have to set up an appointment for your visit.

Kay started Dog Friendly of Ojai, "because I could never find a place for my own dogs that provided the care and homey environment I wanted for them." Kay is a certified dog behaviorist, trainer and animal communicator. She has written over 200 articles about dog behaviors and training for different magazines and newspapers. "Although it takes a lot more work to take care of dogs the way we do it at Dog Friendly, I wouldn't have it any other way. I am passionate about providing the highest level of care."
