What breed should I get?
I have a small place.
A Dog Run kennel out back.
Will be gone for about 8hrs. every day.
While Im gone the dog will be outside.
I don't want that hyper of a dog.
A dog that can go on long car rides sittin in a back seat wit someone sittin next 2 it.
A dog good with pther animals and kids.

yorkie
chihuahua
lad
boxers
english cocker
english springer
min bull terrier
golden retriever
basenji

While I'm gone the dog will be outside- I wouldn't get a tiny dog (yorkie, chihuahua) as they can be mistaken for rabbits by big birds and carried off.
I don't want that hyper of a dog- then get 1+year old dog and not a puppy. Adopt from your local shelter- it was a great solution for me.
A dog that can go on long car rides sitting in a back seat with someone sitting next to it. Most dogs love car rides- it's not breed specific.
A dog good with other animals and kids.- depends what other animals you have. Dogs and cats are usually fine. But if you have hamster, gerbil etc you will have to keep them away from pretty much any other type of dog. Especially hunting-breeds.
breeds i was thinking about:
yorkie
chihuahua- both I'd say are too small to be outside all day.
lab
boxers- boxer pups are REALLY hyper- don't know if they calm.
english cocker
english springer- we had an english springer and it was hyper and hard to contain. How high are the walls of your dog run? Because our could jump 4 feet before it was fully grown.
min bull terrier-
golden retriever- heard alot of good things- very calm dogs
basenji- heard they are more like cats- so if you like cats (more independent etc) then you may like this breed.
I LOVE my beagle-mix- he is all those things but maybe a little hyper still- I was told at 2 he'll calm down a little more. Consider adopting- there are lots of purebreed and mixed breed dogs at shelters and rescues looking for a home. Try petdfinder.com
